We're looking forward to exhibiting once again at the ADIPEC conference and exhibition, which takes place in Abu Dhabi on 9-12 November. We're on stand 8510B in hall 8, if you're visiting - come and say hello!

The internationally-important event is the largest oil and gas event in the Middle East, and expects to attract around 85,000 visitors over the four days of the show. It's a high point in the energy sector calendar in the region, and one at which Corrotherm makes a point of showing its capabilities in nickel alloy technology.

The team from our Middle East office will be on hand at the exhibition to guide visitors through our wide range of heat- and corrosion-resistant nickel alloys, available as seamless pipes, fittings, flanges and plates.

In particular, nickel-based alloys from the INCONEL®, INCOLOY® and MONEL® ranges are ideal for the cost-effective manufacture of pumps, valves and process control equipment. These alloys offer solutions to fit the bill for all kinds of onshore and offshore extraction applications across the oil and gas industry.

The ranges include all-round robust alloys like INCOLOY® alloy 825, which offers outstanding resistance to general and localised corrosion, and specialist alloys like INCONEL® alloy 725, used for the manufacture of down-hole tubulars, hangers and tooling. Another favourite is INCONEL® alloy 625, useful for example in lining steel transfer piping from gas gathering networks in high temperature sour oil and gas extraction. This alloy offers outstanding fatigue and thermal-fatigue strength and is oxidation-resistant, with excellent weldability and braze-ability.

This year at the show we will be introducing the latest product in the Corrotherm line-up: electro-deposited nickel foil. It's ultra-thin and yet offers excellent corrosion, welding and forming properties. It can be manufactured in incredibly thin sheets, down to a minimum of 6μm - that's thinner than a human hair! - and has a wide range of applications within the engineering sector.

However, we feel that just as important as the breadth of our product offering is our range of expertise, which has helped built many strong relationships in the energy industry across the region. Of course, the fact that we have the local knowledge of our regional sales office has helped here.

New to ADIPEC this year is a dedicated Offshore, Marine and Heavy Equipment Zone, the first of its kind in the region. This new area will feature offshore products, services, and solutions – from rigs and vessels, to subsea drilling equipment, pipelines, and tools for reservoir production and mapping – in an actual marine environment, which is sure to be of interest and will bring a new dimension to the show.

The new area of the show will be taking place in a purpose-built zone on the waterfront at ADNEC. It will be supported by a dedicated Offshore & Marine Conference, running from 9 – 11 November of ADIPEC 2015. All in all, ADIPEC is s huge show, and a major attraction for those working in the energy sector in the region.

Sayeed Junied, Corrotherm's Middle East regional sales manager, says: "We are looking forward to ADIPEC and we're sure we will be hearing lots of good news about positive progress in the industry, despite the current climate."
