- Nickel (Ni): Balance
- Chromium (Cr): 18-21%
- Cobalt (Co): 15-21%
- Titanium (Ti): 2-3%
- Iron (Fe): 1.5% max
- Silicon (Si): 1% max
- Manganese (Mn): 1% max
- Aluminium (Al): 1-2%
- Copper (Cu): 0.2% max
- Zirconium (Zr): 0.15% max
- Carbon (C): 0.13% max
- Boron (B): 0.02% max
- Sulphur (S): 0.015% max
- Lead (Pb): 0.002% max
NIMONIC® alloy 90 is a higher strength alloy with additions of Cobalt , Titanium and Aluminium which permitted operational temperatures to rise to approximately 950 deg C in some applications. The material was introduced in 1955. The alloy is used as turbine blading, bolting, fasteners and springs up to approx 600 deg C.
