Middle-East-Corrotherm-Office

As you know, Corrotherm have a number of offices and facilities in Middle East. What you may not know is that, to be registered as a local company in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, we needed to have a sponsor.

It’s always been this way. The practice was established when oil companies first started business in the Gulf as a way of ensuring that some of the wealth of the oil production would benefit the local economy and people.

We really like this idea, because our ethos is to take local business etiquette and regulations into account and support growing markets and local businesses in the countries that we operate in, as much as possible.

There’s another reason why we have embraced this requirement: Registering a company in the UAE took a great deal of paperwork and a number of registrations with various government offices - it was quite a lengthy process, and our local sponsor’s contacts, advice and guidance, was invaluable.

So, who are we working with? Well, the sponsor has to be a national person, and when we met Saleh Al Dhahiri - a well-known local businessman in the UAE for our Abu Dhabi office - we knew we had found the right person.

Saleh, who studied in the USA and has a background in industrial engineering, has great knowledge and understanding of business in Abu Dhabi and has already bought a wealth of insight and strength to our operations in country. Needless to say, we’re delighted to have him on-board!

In addition to the great progress we have made in Abu Dhabi, we’re also working with a consulting company House based in Saudi Arabia, This company is Gulf Consulting House , who were introduced to us by the British Embassy and we’ve found them really helpful! If you’re looking to start up in Saudi, we’d highly recommended them.
