One reason we have been so busy is due to an increase in industry demand, which has been pivotal to our opening offices in a lot of new territories. If you haven’t read our previous blogs, we are extremely proud that we now have Corrotherm offices in Korea, Houston, South Africa and India, as well as Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

So where is this increased demand for nickel alloys coming from? Well, the oil, gas and petrochemical industries are using nickel alloys in a wide range of applications in their booming environments.

Operators are asking their Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) people for guarantees on equipment. This means that companies are being asked to recommend materials that can guarantee no failure in service. This is great news for Corrotherm, as guaranteed failsafe materials are what we supply!

Our edge is that we offer a technical service too, which is not offered by other distributors and stockists. We have a lot of expertise within the company, including welding engineers, pipe engineers, aerospace engineers, and weapons engineers. This range of technical knowhow enables us to match our customer’s requirements, with what the mill is capable of producing. We even help to write technical specifications.

In predicting a busy year for the industry, Jan advises that, although there is sufficient supply to meet current demand, deliveries will probably be pushed out to 40/50 weeks by the middle of the year. So our tip is don’t leave it too late.Get your orders in now!
