This year’s ADIPEC conference was a brilliant success in our estimation.
Organised in partnership with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the event was held in Abu Dhabi from 11 to 14 November and provided the first ever series of ADIPEC Briefings for business opportunities in UAE, Qatar, Iraq and Kuwait.
The event is the largest regional conference for our industry. This year, it saw 4000 industry delegates attending, which gave us great opportunity to meet existing clients and be introduced to new ones.
Two hundred speakers from 39 countries took part in 50 technical sessions; some of the disciplines covered included geosciences, projects, field development, drilling and completions, as well as maintenance, integrity, HSE and operations - all of which contributed to the tremendous support of the event by the industry.
With such a large number of visitors, our stand was very busy throughout the four days - Sayeed and Muzammil bravely tackled the crowds with smiling confidence and professionalism, while Mydee held the fort at the office. We are all very grateful for the excellent effort and energy that they poured into the occasion!
Big thanks also to our very own Gloria, who did an amazing job at getting everything together for the event. Together with Kat, she organised, chased and nagged us all into line, and ensured our stand looked fantastic.
Ian also deserves a well-earned pat on the back for getting our video to run throughout the show. It was touch and go for a while there, Ian - so thank you!
To cap the exciting week and make it perfectly memorable, we also celebrated Corrotherm’s 20th anniversary at the UK Ambassador’s residence during the week.
UK’s Trade Minister, Alan Duncan joined us in celebrating our anniversary and spoke highly of our success over the last two decades. HMA Dominic Jermey (UK Ambassador to UAE) also expressed his admiration of our efforts in his speech and wished Corrotherm well for the future.
Jan gave a rousing speech too, after which Allan Duncan joined her in cutting the celebratory cake to mark the special occasion.
