Composition

  • Iron (Fe): 52% min
  • Nickel (Ni): 48% min

NILO® alloy 48 has a coefficient of expansion designed to match that of soft lead glass or soda lime glass. The alloy also finds use in thermostats for operation up to 450 deg C, glass to metal seals in radio valves and light bulbs.
