Development of the high chromium content nickel based alloys continued and created INCONEL® alloy 693 with the significantly improved resistance to high temperature corrosion, and particularly to metal dusting. As a result designers of gas generation equipment are selecting this material in synfuel processes, petrochemical processes and other high temperature environments to reduce or eliminate the risk of metal dusting.
