When we are talking about the metaphoric glue that holds Corrotherm International together, we are of course referring to our energetic and enthusiastic office manager Gloria Feary.

Working with Corrotherm for just under 20 years, Gloria knows the company, the industry and our clients inside out. Her roots with Corrotherm International can be traced back to when she met Jan Ward, our CEO, 35 years ago when working for Tubesales UK. Gloria jokes: “When I joined a large stainless steel stockholder in 1980, I first met and worked with Jan. I didn’t know that 35 years later I would still be working with her - and survive it!”
While sat at her desk with a hot cup of coffee Gloria primarily runs the personnel and administration departments, which is really lucky for us because she is excellent at solving problems, helping to improve our customer service and driving Corrotherm’s quality, environmental and health and safety management systems, which in turn helps us to maintain our ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditations.
Keeping busy is never a problem at Corrotherm, when not managing the personnel and admin departments; Gloria also manages our staff-training programme. She is currently mentoring and helping the newest member of our team, Liam, to complete his apprenticeship qualification – something that Gloria has a proven track record delivering.
Gloria loves working with our thoroughly eclectic bunch of metal-enthusiasts and is thoroughly knowledgeable about all Corrotherm products and services. While she doesn’t have a favourite product per se, she highly rates the service that Corrotherm provides and the collective knowledge that the whole team can draw on together to help with any customer enquiry, order or pre and after-sales care.
When asked what her favourite memory at Corrotherm International was, Gloria said: “We're a really tight-knit bunch here at Corrotherm and we are lucky that we all get on really well together. We regularly hold ‘team building’ sessions, which are more social days out for us all to all enjoy, which is also a lot of fun.
“Two of my favourites were the Goodwood Revival, where the company got dressed in their finest outfits from the 40s, 50s and 60s and enjoyed the trackside entertainment. I also particularly enjoyed the trip to Royal Ascot as I love horses and that day in particular stands out for me.”
In her spare time, Gloria enjoys spending time with her family and undertaking her passion – not more Corrotherm admin – but horse riding. She used to compete locally, taking part in the point-to-point events that take place annually in the New Forest.
